San Antonio Environmental Challenges: Opportunities in Resiliency

A conference organized by Solar San Antonio and imagineSanAntonio is scheduled to take place from 7:30 a.m. to 1:20 p.m. on two Fridays in February (14th and 21st) with each day ending with a luncheon speaker. The conference is hosted by Rackspace with participation by prominent community institutions including USAA, H-E-B, Toyota, CPS Energy, and San Antonio Water Systems.

The conference is intended to help develop environmental resiliency and adaptability in our community infrastructure. It will feature presentations by local and national experts who will cover topics, such as water supplies and droughts, extreme weather events, wildfires, urban heat islands, public health, electric power supplies, alternative fuels, air quality, carbon emissions, how to determine an organization’s carbon footprint, and strategies to achieve resilience.

The cost for each day individually is $30 in advance or $35 at the door. The cost for purchasing a two-day ticket is $50 in advance and $65 at the door. There is also a student discount available. Visit Eventbrite to sign up for this important conference.
